Smoky Mountain High
Hello friends,
by some crazy fluke I have a nearly homework-less weekend. Woohoo.
Last night I went mini-golfing and go-carting with some friends. It was awesome. I was probably 12 the last time I putt-putted. We stopped doing it as a family activity because my brother would get so angry when he missed the hole. Zayde's advice to me yesterday when I told him what I was going to do: "keep your head down." Good advice.
We had a 4 day weekend last weed. The 1st year students get a mini-break because they've been working us so hard.
Christina and I went backpacking in the Smokies for a couple days. We had tons o' fun. We got to hike part of the Appalachian Trail, sleep outside, make new friends and drive past Dollywood! Does it get any better?
We had perfect weather and the mountains were beautiful.
Here are some pictures for your viewing enjoyment:

Looks like a great trip! And, it's nice that you have the smokies so close and I imagine the weather is okay for backpacking most of the year. I'd love to do some hiking when I make it down to visit you!
