Mid-Semester Post

Hi friends,
I know I haven't been writing much. I think a lot of the things that I've been doing/thinking about seem either too boring or too personal to broadcast on the internet.
I'm in limbo waiting to hear back from summer jobs. Originally, I was planning on doing a summer academic program abroad through Vanderbilt, but I'm feeling less jazzed about that now. I don't know that I need more academia when academia won't teach me to be a real lawyer.
I'm interviewing on Friday for a position at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. Pretty much my dream job. I've been interested in food issues on a global scale for a while now. The job's in ROme. I'm nervous and excited about it. I will be very disappointed if I don't get the job.
Spring break starts on Sunday and I'm going to Alaska to visit Bridget. yay. She's taking me dog sledding. I'm sure I'll have blogs/pics to share when I get home.
I'm making a real effort not to let law school stress me out this semester. It's mostly working. Until this week--too much stuff on my plate all at once.
I hope you all are well!
It snowed in Nashville today and made me a little homesick :(.
Hugs,
Lauren

Dog sledding! That will be so great - I can't wait to hear about it! Sorry I've been out of touch, but I've been thinking of you :) My fingers are crossed that you get to go to ROME!
